Electrical Repair & Upgrades in Mesa and the East Valley

Safe, code-compliant electrical work from a licensed contractor: troubleshooting, panel and breaker work, outlets and lighting, and the electrical items inspectors flag before a sale.

Published Updated

Electrical work is licensed under Arizona ROC #358108. We troubleshoot the problems that make a home feel unsafe or unreliable, bring older wiring and panels up to today's standards, and handle the electrical items that come up on nearly every home inspection report. Everything is done to code and tested before we leave.

What we handle

  • Troubleshooting outages, dead outlets and breakers that keep tripping
  • Panel upgrades, breaker replacement and sub-panels
  • Outlets, switches, dimmers and GFCI / AFCI protection
  • Lighting, ceiling fans and exterior fixtures
  • Dedicated circuits for AC units, appliances and EV chargers
  • Whole-home surge protection
  • Electrical items from a home inspection report or BINSR
  • 24/7 emergency service for burning smells, sparking or loss of power

Common electrical problems we see

  • A breaker that keeps tripping. An overloaded circuit, a failing breaker, or a short somewhere on the line. Also a common symptom when an aging AC compressor starts drawing too much current.
  • Older panels inspectors flag. Certain older panel brands and double-tapped breakers show up on inspection reports constantly. We'll tell you whether it's a repair or a replacement.
  • Missing GFCI protection. Kitchens, bathrooms, garages and exteriors need it under current code and inspectors call it out every time.
  • Ungrounded or reversed outlets. Common in older Mesa and Tempe homes. Usually a straightforward fix.
  • Flickering lights or warm switch plates. Loose connections. Not something to wait on.
  • Open junction boxes and exposed splices in attics and garages, another inspection-report regular.

Questions we get a lot

Frequently asked questions

Why does my breaker keep tripping?

Breakers trip to protect the wiring. The usual causes are too much load on one circuit, a breaker that has worn out, or a short or ground fault on the line. If it trips when the AC starts, the AC may be the culprit. We diagnose the cause rather than just resetting it.

Do I need a panel upgrade?

You may if the panel is an older brand that inspectors flag, if you're out of breaker spaces, if breakers are double-tapped, or if you're adding a large load like an EV charger or a new AC system. We inspect the panel and give you a straight answer.

Can you fix the electrical items from my home inspection?

Yes. GFCI outlets, double-taps, open junction boxes, missing covers, ungrounded outlets and panel issues are the items we see most. Send us the report or BINSR and we'll take care of the electrical list along with any plumbing or HVAC items on it.
